E-ticket

When I was checking in earlier today in the airport, something came across my mind when I was presenting my e-ticket reference number using my mobile phone... a rather pathetic ground crew I met in my previous trip to Sandakan.

I remember I was queuing up along with other foreign passengers , waiting for my turn to check in. Upon check-in, like usual, I showed the ground crew my ID and my reference number saved in my mobile.

Here goes our conversation.

Me : " To Sandakan, 12.40pm, thanks (showing my ID and reference number). "
Him : ' *grumpy* Where's your ticket? '
Me : " Huh? It's in here (pointing on my mobile screen). "
Him : ' I say, where is your ticket?! '
Me : "It should be an e-ticket... Did I get my number wrong? Or maybe you can try using my ID to check, it should be there. "
Him : ' *unwillingly knocking the keyboard* Next time you need to print your e-ticket you know, otherwise it would be very inconvenient for us you know, you need your printed e-ticket to check in, later our system doesn't show your name then how? '
Me : " But I've been using this method for the past few years and they all went okay wor. "
Him : ' *high-pitched* You have to print it out you know, we have always experienced problems with passengers couldn't check in because they didn't bring along the printed copy, that copy is for you to keep just in case our system doesn't show your name in the list. '
Me : " ... Okay. (frog you la!) "

I didn't argue that much with him even I was very furious with his poor attitude and his moronic mindset, I just walked away with a smile (yes, I smiled!), and of course, cursing him. :D

Adui Uncle ah... Are you suffering from PMS or Menopause? Definite E-TICKET to me! JUST DEFINE THE 'E' FOR ME! What's the whole point of e-ticketing when you still need to present the printed copy upon check-in?! Save our planet la buduh!

So back to where I was just now, I have no problems with it by using my ID and showing my reference number in my mobile phone upon check-in... That proves the man I met previously was having his PMS moment.

Broken Hakka

It's 'Guan Yin Dan (Goddess of Mercy's birthday)' today, so I went to the Guan Yin temple somewhere around Likas area to do some prayings and offerings.

I bought myself a 'package' thing, not too sure how they call that, but it has everything in it, the candles, the incenses and the offering papers.

When I did all the burnings and stuff, I looked for the donation box, but they don't have one. Luckily a young boy helped me out with that, telling me look for the Ar-Po (granny) somewhere around the temple.

Finally I found her busy cleaning up the altars, I was holding on my wallet, so probably from there she knew why I was looking for her. I spoke in Mandarin, saying I want to donate some money...

Until she said 'Hah? Makai dung xi?'... I feel like it's the end of the world for me...

HOLY . FROG . I . CAN'T . SPEAK . HAKKA !!!

Ar-Po : ' Ah-Moi, ngi heh makai miang? Ngai oi *&^%%^$... (have no idea what she was talking, I was guessing she needs my name for the praying) '
Me : " Ar-Po, *in a very broken pronunciation* ngai ng di la men gong ngai eh miang... Ngai ng di Hakka wa... "
Ar-Po : ' Hah? Ngi gong makai dung si?! '
Me : " ( OS: Someone please save me!!! T_T ) CHIN GA BAW!!! "
Ar-Po : ' Ngi meh hiao gong Hakka wa meh! '
Me : " ...................................... ( OS: Ar-Po, YOU BULLY ME AH?! ) "

Sigh...

Kantoi!

While we were heading to Immigration in KL...

Uncle Hai : 'Ei, I tell you ya, *whispers* you're the second on your niece's Who-I-Love-The-Most list. '
Me : "WHAT?! She told me she loves me the most and put me as her number one the other day!"
Shuen : 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *suddenly appeared out of no where* Aunty B NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don't trust him!'
Uncle Hai : 'But I heard it just moments ago in the cafe, and you say Aunty Ellie is your number one, Aunty B is the second, your mummy is third in rank.'
Shuen : 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *jumps up and down* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I can explain!'
Shuen's Ma : 'WHAT?! Darling I'm the third?! You told me I'm your number one! How dare you treat your mummy like that! '
Shuen : 'Mummy NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Let me explain...!'
Shuen's Grandma : 'What did you say just now? I'm not even in the top 3?! I thought you say you love Grandma the most?!'
Shuen : 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *covers her ears with her hands* I wanna explain!'
Uncle Hai
: 'Then explain!'
Shuen : 'They're in the different charts!'
Me + Shuen's Grandma + Shuen's Ma : "W-H-A-T??!!"
Shuen : '*runs*'

And this, my friends, is what we call Kantoi... more to come. :)

Shuen : 'Auntie auntie auntie!'
Me : "Yes dear?"
Shuen : 'Can I sleep with you during our trip to Indonesia?'
Me : "Well, if only you won't look for your mummy halfway I'm sleeping..."
Shuen : '*interrupts* I won't I won't!'
Me : "You sure? You told me you wanna accompany your mummy in the middle of night and started to drag your mattress back to your mummy's room..."
Shuen : '*interrupts* No no no no no no no no!!! I'm actually training myself to sleep by my own these few days!'
Me : "Oh really? *impressed* You moved to the empty bedroom where I used to sleep?"
Shuen : 'No lah, these few days I didn't sleep on a same bed with daddy and mummy, I slept on my own mattress right next to mummy's.'
Me : "..............................................."

being VIVA-ed for 2 weeks... 活著VIVA!

*Caution: Long post ahead!*

Wondering what VIVA means? Take a look at the clip below (p.s.: get a friend that understand Cantonese and let him/her explains the lyric if you have no idea what is this song about).

I've actually learnt this new term from my friend's boyfriend, which perfectly fits in describing my life over the past 2 weeks.

"Yo, we're here liao. "

That was a text I received from a long friend of mine, Thung. She reached Kota Kinabalu land along with another bestie, Fei Lou (sorry pal, know you've turned into a skinny guy now, but couldn't help myself 'cuz been calling you like that for the past 15 years XD). Frankly speaking, I was stunned when I saw the text, worrying whether I can complete my work on time while showing them around at the same time. You naughty Thung! Told you to inform me 1 week earlier! >:(

Was very challenging tho during the week, rushing work early mornings, then driving my friends around during afternoons and rushing work again during night time. Luckily with the help of my colleagues, we were able to meet the deadline and got the October Issue printed on time... BIG HUG TO A LA PAGE CREW!

Put aside the crazy hours of rushing stuff, it was a really great time hanging out with good old friends like them. We had lotsa shoppings, lotsa chitchattings, lotsa laughters, and lotsa FOODS! Truly haven't had all these for so long, that's why I was feeling rather sad when sending them off to airport at the end of their trip, wondering when will we have the same chance to hang out together like that.

Thankfully I had Tynn with me the next day, brought her to Q bar on last Friday as promised. Glad to see she enjoyed a lot during her first visit there to see the weekly Friday night diva show. :) When we were about to leave that night, Lola told us they're having a special Merdeka show on the eve night, inviting us to bring along our friends to see the show... you wouldn't know how excited were me and Tynn when we heard that! What a bless having the chance to see 2 shows in a week!

So, there you go, we had our craziest Merdeka eve in the bar! It was really nice meeting up with long-lost friends of mine while having lotsa laugh-till-choke moments (you know I know lah!) with them.

When I thought I was about getting my arse back to my oh-so-boring routine life...

"Hello KK, see you in Wednesday."

A shoutout from a friend of mine where he posted on Facebook.

Good thing is: I don't need to rush anything these few days, which means I can enjoy lot more and being carefree... but this time, it's 348725629847 times painful than the previous one.

With our frequent visits to 1Borneo, especially Watsons, Guardians, Sasa and FCUK, I nearly burn off all my August paycheck.. orz. Luckily I'm not the only one, good luck to you too my friend (you know I know lah!)... Still, very happy to see so many long friends, especially Daphne and her boyfriend, Danny (yes, I learnt the word VIVA from him)!

Overall, a very wonderful time during the past 2 weeks, shoppings, foods, alcohols, yum-char sessions, et cetera et cetera. What more I can say? Being VIVAed for 2 weeks, now there's virtually nothing left in both my pocket and my bank account... YATA~~~

收數記

$

After chasing the debts for months, finally I managed to reach the owner and was being told to collect the payment by today.

So I got my colleague to accompany me to City Mall today at 12pm, thinking to demonstrate some of the basic stuff while introducing her to our client.

When we reached there, it wasn't surprise to see the owner wasn't there. As usual, his arrogant lady staff didn't entertain us much. Even when we asked politely where's her boss, she just tilted her shoulders and replied '(high-pitched) How I know, you try call him lah!'... Ah well, we took her advice and called the owner, but failed to reach him. Once again, it really wasn't surprise me at all. I texted him saying who am I (just in case he didn't save my number in his mobile phone) and let him know I'm in the mall.

Magically, he replied my phone call, saying 'Aiyoh why you didn't call me up before you go oh? I am working now oh, I call you when I reach City Mall lah!'... WTF... Well, not that I really forgot to inform him, just that my experience tells me the chances of him fleeing are much higher if we call him before we reach there.

We left a message to his staff and told her we'll be back in a moment. I decided to get something to fill my tummy since we both haven't had our breakfast yet. To brighten up my day a bit after all these craps... I chose to go here.

Ah... Feeling so good, truly 'Finger-licking Good'! Had a chat with my new colleague and it was indeed a great time hanging out with her. We walked around and did some grocery shoppings before we get back to look for the owner again.

After for an hour so, somewhere around 2pm, we got back to the shop, but it was closed! We stunned right outside the entrance, starting to curse a bit while thinking the lady might be away for lunch. We didn't give up straight away, we walked away and continue our window-shopping.

So, yeah, another hour so, we returned to the shop once again. We saw the lady, but she didn't entertain us... again! We repeated the same question we asked earlier and she gave us the same reaction: tilted her shoulders. But this time, she didn't speak a word.

I was pissed, it was 3pm by the time I was standing there and with the lady's attitude there? Seriously, she ruined my day. And of course, we didn't manage to collect the payment from them... again.

Raiding plan failed, what a wonderful day.

(p.s.:Am I supposed to collect the debts in Ah-Long style? Sigh...)
